The Norwich Grange Hall project was recently awarded $177,500 in tax credits from Vermont's Downtown and Village Center Tax Credit Program to restore and renovate Norwich’s historic 1892 Grange Hall as a multi-purpose community center. State tax credits will support code upgrades, including a significant water line expansion for the sprinkler system and accessibility upgrades including LULA elevator. Much of this funding will be used in the third phase of the project which is to build a small 2-story addition in place of the back ell to accommodate ADA bathrooms and the elevator. This phase is expected to begin in fall, 2026.
